We give shape to your devotion

The diamond in this medal is born from the roses offered to the Virgin of Guadalupe. We turn your wishes, promises, and memories into something you can touch and carry with you forever.

Excellence in every detail

We create diamonds through a high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) carbonization process.

We use renewable energy and technologies with a low environmental impact.

Our diamonds are placed in the highest categories of color (D, E, F) and clarity (VVS–VS).

History of the Tepeyac Medal

We are inspired by a place
full of meaning

The Tepeyac medal honors the hill where the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego. The setting of a miracle that would unite people and beliefs across the entire continent.

In 1531, Tepeyac Hill witnessed the apparition of the Virgin of Guadalupe to Juan Diego. Over the centuries, it has become a place of hope and encounter between cultures, where the spiritual and the human intertwine.

Today, the Basilica of Guadalupe stands on this very hill, where millions of devotees offer their roses to the Virgin, expressing all their devotion.

Much more than a symbol.
An extraordinary piece of jewelry.

Our medals, in gold or gold-plated, and featuring high-purity diamonds, are not just a cultural symbol: they are exceptional jewels in their beauty and quality.

We transform roses into diamonds.

1 Origin

We collect the rose petals offered to the Virgin and presented by the Cardinal in the shrine of the Basilica.

2 Transformation

We turn them into quality diamonds through an ethical and sustainable carbonization process.

3 Creation

Our jewelry artisans craft unique medals so that a fragment of your devotion may accompany you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Diamantes Guadalupanos?

Diamantes Guadalupanos is a project promoted by the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe with the goal of transforming the roses offered to the Virgin into eternal diamonds with a social impact. The funds generated contribute to the support and development of the social and pastoral works that the Basilica carries out in favor of people and communities in vulnerable situations.

How are diamonds created?

Through a high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) carbonization process using the most advanced technology in the sector, we extract the carbon from the rose petals offered to the Virgin, transforming a unique gesture into an eternal piece of jewelry.

We crystallize diamonds with the same properties as those extracted from mines, but with an ethical, sustainable, and meaningful origin.

What values inspire the project?

All our actions are guided by 5 essential principles:

  • Social commitment: The resources generated by our medals contribute to the development of the Basilica's social works to support and care for vulnerable groups, especially the elderly in Mexico.
  • Respect for the Virgin of Guadalupe: Our diamonds are a way to pay tribute to the Virgin and help keep the devotion of millions of people around the world alive, being conscious of their importance as a symbol of gratitude and hope.
  • Transparency and authenticity: We certify the origin and quality of our diamonds and are completely transparent in every stage of the process.
  • Sustainability: We produce diamonds using clean energy and low-impact environmental technologies. Furthermore, we follow an ethical process that is respectful of our workers.
  • Excellence and craftsmanship: Our medals are born from the absolute care of the best designers and master jewelers in Spain, who work with rigor and a deep respect for the craft.

Which certifications guarantee the authenticity and quality of diamonds?

The process of collecting the rose petals, carried out in the presence of the Primate Cardinal of Mexico before the tilma of Saint Juan Diego in the Basilica's Camarín, is supervised and certified by a civil notary. All jewelry comes with a certificate of origin from Diamantes Guadalupanos and, furthermore, the 0.50 ct diamonds have a quality certificate from the International Gemological Institute (IGI).

What does Diamantes Guadalupanos' commitment to sustainability consist of?

We want our jewelry to reflect a deep love for creation. That is why we produce our diamonds using clean energy and low-impact technologies, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. Furthermore, we follow an ethical process that puts workers at the center, remaining conscious of the negative impact caused by diamond mining.
